Note:
FIELD RULES AND REGULATIONS:
• Patrons are responsible for leaving the facility in a clean and orderly fashion. Failure to do so will result in an additional clean-up fee based on hourly wages.
• The Reservation Representatives shall accept responsibility for the conduct of those using the facility.
• BASES AND PITCHING RUBBERS MAY NOT BE MOVED!
• Patrons are responsible for all damage to property.
• The Reservations Representatives are responsible for ensuring that there is at least one adult supervisor present at each field reserved.
• The Reservation Representative is responsible for ensuring the event reflects positively for the City of Grand Island.
• Alcohol is not permitted in City parks.
• Motorized vehicles are prohibited on athletic fields unless otherwise approved by the Parks and Recreation Department.
• The Representative shall keep the confirmation of the Rental in his/her possession at all times during rental use.
• No vending or sales of any kind are permitted without prior approval from the Parks and Recreation Department. Some fields have designated concession operators.
• All park rules, regulations and ordinances of the City of Grand Island shall apply.
• Practice may not begin prior to 8:00am, and must be completed by 9:00pm. Any exceptions must be pre-approved by the Parks and Recreation Department.
• Use of the field is subject to weather and its impact on the facility. Parks and Recreation Staff has the final decision on playable field conditions. If the entire practice is cancelled due to weather, a refund will be issued. If part of the practice is cancelled due to weather, a proportional refund will be returned if applicable.
• The Representative needs to be aware of potential thunderstorms that may form and allow time for evacuation if needed. Practice should obviously be suspended when emergency sirens are heard. Practice should stop when lightning is spotted and thunder is heard. As a guideline, practice should be delayed for 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard.
Management: The renter acknowledges and agrees that they shall be solely responsible for the operation and management of the fields as listed above during the term of this Agreement when the fields are being utilized for organized youth games and practice for baseball and/or softball. Renter shall be responsible for operating and managing the Premises in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations of any governmental entity with jurisdiction over the Premises, including, but not limited to, the Youth Sports Reopening Guidelines dated as of 5/11/2-2- issued by the Governor of the State of Nebraska and any amendments, replacements, or supplements thereto attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by this reference (the “Rules”). Renter represents and covenants to the City that Renter is familiar with the Rules and that Renter shall operate and manage the Premises in accordance with the Rules. Renter shall ensure that all coaches or appropriate personnel utilizing the Premises shall conduct themselves and their teams in accordance with the Rules. Renter agrees to provide training and education as appropriate to all coaches or team managers to ensure that the Rules are followed.
Assumption of Risk: By signing this Agreement, you ACKNOWLEDGE AND ASSUME THE RISK AND DANGERS OF ILLNESS, DISEASE, MEDICAL COMPLICATIONS, INJURY OR DEATH, caused obey or related to COVID-19, by voluntarily entering the property of the City and participating in or viewing baseball or softball games, practices, or related activities, or by authorizing the participation of a minor in or the presence of a minor at baseball or softball games, practices or related activities. No one guarantees that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19.
